# Strobe Rave vs Laser Disco Lights

The clearest difference is rating: Laser Disco Lights at 3.7 against Strobe Rave's 2.9. Laser Disco Lights also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (503 vs 129). Strobe Rave's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (34% vs 20%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Strobe Rave sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Laser Disco Lights sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Laser Disco Lights holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 129 and 503 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of Strobe Rave's written reviews are positive against 20% of Laser Disco Lights's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Strobe Rave ships an update every 7 months, Laser Disco Lights every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
