# Strobe Rave vs Disco Lights

The clearest difference is ads: Strobe Rave at none against Disco Lights's shown. Strobe Rave also leads on iOS requirement (6.0 vs 15.0). Disco Lights's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 7 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Strobe Rave sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Disco Lights sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Strobe Rave ships an update every 7 months, Disco Lights every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
