# Tally vs Timestamp Marker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Timestamp Marker at 100% against Tally's 33%. Timestamp Marker also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 12). Tally's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (4.1K vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tally sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Timestamp Marker asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tally holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tally has 4.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Tally's written reviews are positive against 100% of Timestamp Marker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tally ships an update every 2 months, Timestamp Marker every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
