# Tally vs Hourglass

The clearest difference is price: Tally at Free against Hourglass's $0.99. Tally also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Tally is free to download; Hourglass costs $0.99 up front. Tally sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Hourglass sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
