# Under Armour vs Nike

Under Armour and Nike both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 82% of Under Armour's written reviews are positive against 25% of Nike's. Under Armour also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Nike's advantage is ratings volume (1.7M vs 77K) and chart position (#47 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Under Armour against 4.9 for Nike. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nike has 1.7M ratings behind it against 77K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 82% of Under Armour's written reviews are positive against 25% of Nike's.

Under Armour ships an update fortnightly, Nike weekly. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
