# Easy Chess ™ vs Awesome Chess

The clearest difference is rating: Easy Chess ™ at 4.5 against Awesome Chess's 4.0. Easy Chess ™ also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (497 vs 4). Awesome Chess's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 6 months vs every 13 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Easy Chess ™ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Awesome Chess asks for nothing beyond the download.

Easy Chess ™ holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Easy Chess ™ has 497 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Easy Chess ™'s written reviews are positive against 75% of Awesome Chess's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
