# KaiNexus vs Microsoft Planner

The clearest difference is review sentiment: KaiNexus at 100% against Microsoft Planner's 29%. KaiNexus also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). Microsoft Planner's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (13K vs 10). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

KaiNexus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft Planner has 13K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of KaiNexus's written reviews are positive against 29% of Microsoft Planner's.

KaiNexus ships an update every 13 months, Microsoft Planner every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
