# WAVEAT vs DeltaBeats

The clearest difference is rating: WAVEAT at 5.0 against DeltaBeats's 4.6. WAVEAT also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.0). DeltaBeats's advantage is review sentiment (85% vs 63%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WAVEAT sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DeltaBeats sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WAVEAT holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of WAVEAT's written reviews are positive against 85% of DeltaBeats's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 9, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
