# EyeCons vs WeiqiVision

The clearest difference is ads: EyeCons at none against WeiqiVision's shown. EyeCons also leads on ratings volume (24 vs 1) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). WeiqiVision's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EyeCons sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and WeiqiVision sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for EyeCons against 5.0 for WeiqiVision. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EyeCons has 24 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 97% of EyeCons's written reviews are positive against 100% of WeiqiVision's.

EyeCons ships an update every 2 weeks, WeiqiVision every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
