# Scriptation vs One Exterior Day

The clearest difference is rating: Scriptation at 4.8 against One Exterior Day's 2.7. Scriptation also leads on ratings volume (3.6K vs 3). One Exterior Day's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 76%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scriptation sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and One Exterior Day sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scriptation holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scriptation has 3.6K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Scriptation's written reviews are positive against 100% of One Exterior Day's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Scriptation ships an update fortnightly, One Exterior Day every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
