# Scriptation vs ScriptReadr

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Scriptation at 3.5K against ScriptReadr's 5. ScriptReadr's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 76%) and update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scriptation sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and ScriptReadr sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ScriptReadr holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scriptation has 3.5K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 76% of Scriptation's written reviews are positive against 100% of ScriptReadr's.

Scriptation ships an update fortnightly, ScriptReadr every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
