# TV México vs CastOn

The clearest difference is rating: CastOn at 4.5 against TV México's 3.3. CastOn also leads on ratings volume (5.6K vs 3) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 2 months). TV México's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CastOn sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. TV México asks for nothing beyond the download.

CastOn holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CastOn has 5.6K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TV México ships an update every 2 months, CastOn every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
