# Marbles vs Cube Busters

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Marbles at none against Cube Busters's 18. Marbles also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). Cube Busters's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 38 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cube Busters sells 17 one-off in-app purchases. Marbles asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Marbles against 4.8 for Cube Busters. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cube Busters has 14K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 50% and 51% positive.

Marbles ships an update every 38 months, Cube Busters weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
