# Subtitles Viewer LIVE vs SubReader

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Subtitles Viewer LIVE at 82% against SubReader's 25%. Subtitles Viewer LIVE also leads on rating (3.9 vs 2.8) and ads (none vs shown). SubReader's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 19 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Subtitles Viewer LIVE sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and SubReader sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Subtitles Viewer LIVE holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 2.8.
