# Hover Racer vs Drive Mad

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Drive Mad at 70% against Hover Racer's 0%. Drive Mad also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (28K vs 1). Hover Racer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hover Racer sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Drive Mad sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hover Racer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drive Mad has 28K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Hover Racer's written reviews are positive against 70% of Drive Mad's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hover Racer ships an update every 3 months, Drive Mad every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
