# Nike vs Selfridges

The clearest difference is ads: Selfridges at none against Nike's shown. Selfridges also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Nike's advantage is ratings volume (1.7M vs 6.6K) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Nike holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nike has 1.7M ratings behind it against 6.6K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Nike's written reviews are positive against 33% of Selfridges's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Nike ships an update weekly, Selfridges every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
