# Nike vs Sneaker Threads

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Nike at 1.7M against Sneaker Threads's 489. Nike also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Sneaker Threads's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Nike holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nike has 1.7M ratings behind it against 489, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Nike's written reviews are positive against 27% of Sneaker Threads's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Nike ships an update weekly, Sneaker Threads every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
