# i vs Garza Smart

The clearest difference is rating: Garza Smart at 4.8 against i's 3.0. Garza Smart also leads on ratings volume (21 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). i's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Garza Smart holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Garza Smart has 21 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of i's written reviews are positive against 20% of Garza Smart's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

i ships an update every 3 weeks, Garza Smart every 5 months. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
