# OffCalc vs CaddyChat

The clearest difference is update cadence: CaddyChat at weekly against OffCalc's every 12 months. CaddyChat also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). OffCalc's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OffCalc sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and CaddyChat sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
