# Samply vs Beat Maker

The clearest difference is price: Beat Maker at Free against Samply's $1.99. Beat Maker also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 15 months) and ratings volume (1.8K vs 2). Samply's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and in-app purchases (none vs 7). On device support there is nothing between them.

Beat Maker is free to download; Samply costs $1.99 up front. Beat Maker sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Samply asks for nothing beyond the download.

Samply holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Beat Maker has 1.8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of Samply's written reviews are positive against 39% of Beat Maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Samply ships an update every 15 months, Beat Maker monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
