# Count 'm down vs Event Countdown

The clearest difference is monetization model: Count 'm down at freemium against Event Countdown's subscription. Count 'm down also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months). Event Countdown's advantage is ratings volume (48 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Count 'm down sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Event Countdown sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Count 'm down against 4.9 for Event Countdown. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Event Countdown has 48 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Count 'm down ships an update weekly, Event Countdown every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
