# Nahverkehrspraxis vs Freitag E

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Nahverkehrspraxis at 100% against Freitag E's 38%. Freitag E's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 6 months vs every 15 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nahverkehrspraxis sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Freitag E sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nahverkehrspraxis ships an update every 15 months, Freitag E every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
