# jS Walk 20 vs Step Counter

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Step Counter at 100% against jS Walk 20's 50%. Step Counter also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 32 months). jS Walk 20's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

jS Walk 20 holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: jS Walk 20 has 105 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of jS Walk 20's written reviews are positive against 100% of Step Counter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

jS Walk 20 ships an update every 32 months, Step Counter every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
