# IT Summit vs ScholarshipOwl

The clearest difference is ratings volume: ScholarshipOwl at 150 against IT Summit's 1. ScholarshipOwl also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). IT Summit's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

IT Summit holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ScholarshipOwl has 150 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

IT Summit ships an update every 5 months, ScholarshipOwl every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
