# Barney Brown vs Well& by Durst

The clearest difference is rating: Well& by Durst at 4.8 against Barney Brown's 3.0. Well& by Durst also leads on ratings volume (248 vs 4) and update cadence (every 5 months vs every 24 months). Barney Brown's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Well& by Durst holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Well& by Durst has 248 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Barney Brown's written reviews are positive against 33% of Well& by Durst's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
