# Wingman vs Scan

The clearest difference is update cadence: Scan at every 6 days against Wingman's every 3 weeks. Wingman's advantage is iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wingman sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Scan sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wingman ships an update every 3 weeks, Scan every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
