# Manhattan Prep | GRE Practice vs GRE Math by Sherpa Prep

Manhattan Prep | GRE Practice and GRE Math by Sherpa Prep both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 98% of GRE Math by Sherpa Prep's written reviews are positive against 59% of Manhattan Prep | GRE Practice's. GRE Math by Sherpa Prep also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Manhattan Prep | GRE Practice's advantage is ratings volume (1.7K vs 61). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Manhattan Prep | GRE Practice sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $10.99 per month and GRE Math by Sherpa Prep sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Manhattan Prep | GRE Practice holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Manhattan Prep | GRE Practice has 1.7K ratings behind it against 61, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Manhattan Prep | GRE Practice's written reviews are positive against 98% of GRE Math by Sherpa Prep's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
