# UOB vs GU

The clearest difference is rating: GU at 5.0 against UOB's 2.0. GU also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). UOB's advantage is ratings volume (28 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GU holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UOB has 28 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

UOB ships an update every 2 months, GU every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
