# Planes Live vs Air Traffic

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Air Traffic at 80% against Planes Live's 34%. Planes Live's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (93K vs 9). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Planes Live sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Air Traffic sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Planes Live holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Planes Live has 93K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of Planes Live's written reviews are positive against 80% of Air Traffic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Planes Live ships an update every 3 weeks, Air Traffic every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
