# Golfmetrics vs FGT Golf Tracker

The clearest difference is rating: Golfmetrics at 3.9 against FGT Golf Tracker's 3.3. Golfmetrics also leads on ratings volume (126 vs 9). FGT Golf Tracker's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 13) and review sentiment (50% vs 16%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Golfmetrics sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. FGT Golf Tracker asks for nothing beyond the download.

Golfmetrics holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Golfmetrics has 126 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of Golfmetrics's written reviews are positive against 50% of FGT Golf Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Golfmetrics ships an update fortnightly, FGT Golf Tracker every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
