# Golfmetrics vs SJMGA

The clearest difference is rating: SJMGA at 5.0 against Golfmetrics's 3.9. SJMGA also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 13). Golfmetrics's advantage is ratings volume (125 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Golfmetrics sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. SJMGA asks for nothing beyond the download.

SJMGA holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Golfmetrics has 125 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Golfmetrics ships an update fortnightly, SJMGA monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
