# RETIF vs Mandoline

The clearest difference is update cadence: Mandoline at every 10 months against RETIF's every 60 months. Mandoline also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RETIF ships an update every 60 months, Mandoline every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
