# Goethe vs THM App

The clearest difference is review sentiment: THM App at 82% against Goethe's 30%. THM App also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (3 vs 1). Goethe's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Goethe holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of Goethe's written reviews are positive against 82% of THM App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Goethe ships an update every 2 months, THM App every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
