# Goethe vs HSF Study

The clearest difference is ads: Goethe at none against HSF Study's shown. Goethe also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). HSF Study's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Goethe ships an update every 2 months, HSF Study every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
