# FlatZap vs Snippet Video

The clearest difference is monetization model: Snippet Video at freemium against FlatZap's subscription. Snippet Video also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). FlatZap's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlatZap sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Snippet Video sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Snippet Video holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlatZap has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
