# Home Assistant vs Prayed

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Home Assistant at none against Prayed's 2. Home Assistant also leads on ratings volume (4K vs 1) and device support (4 vs 2). Prayed's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 10 days) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Prayed sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Home Assistant asks for nothing beyond the download.

Prayed holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Home Assistant has 4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Home Assistant ships an update every 10 days, Prayed every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
