# ToDo List vs SimpleList

The clearest difference is rating: ToDo List at 4.7 against SimpleList's 4.0. ToDo List also leads on ratings volume (5.2K vs 1) and device support (4 vs 2). SimpleList's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ToDo List sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. SimpleList asks for nothing beyond the download.

ToDo List holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ToDo List has 5.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of ToDo List's written reviews are positive against 100% of SimpleList's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ToDo List ships an update every 2 months, SimpleList every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
