# Marching Order vs Strange Horticulture

The clearest difference is rating: Strange Horticulture at 4.9 against Marching Order's 4.4. Strange Horticulture also leads on ratings volume (1.5K vs 22) and chart position (#44 vs unranked). Marching Order's advantage is price ($1.99 vs $5.99) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.6). On review sentiment, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Marching Order costs $1.99 and Strange Horticulture $5.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Strange Horticulture holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Strange Horticulture has 1.5K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of Marching Order's written reviews are positive against 75% of Strange Horticulture's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
