# Butterfly Simulator vs Squirrel Life Simulator Game

The clearest difference is rating: Butterfly Simulator at 4.2 against Squirrel Life Simulator Game's 3.2. Butterfly Simulator also leads on ratings volume (389 vs 10) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Squirrel Life Simulator Game's advantage is update cadence (every 10 months vs every 58 months) and review sentiment (75% vs 61%). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Butterfly Simulator holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Butterfly Simulator has 389 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Butterfly Simulator's written reviews are positive against 75% of Squirrel Life Simulator Game's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
