# Butterfly Simulator vs Virtual Duck Life Simulator

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Butterfly Simulator at none against Virtual Duck Life Simulator's 10. Butterfly Simulator also leads on review sentiment (61% vs 33%) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). Virtual Duck Life Simulator's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 58 months) and ratings volume (2.8K vs 390). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Virtual Duck Life Simulator sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Butterfly Simulator asks for nothing beyond the download.

Virtual Duck Life Simulator holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Virtual Duck Life Simulator has 2.8K ratings behind it against 390, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Butterfly Simulator's written reviews are positive against 33% of Virtual Duck Life Simulator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Butterfly Simulator ships an update every 58 months, Virtual Duck Life Simulator fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
