# i vs iBackup Kit

The clearest difference is rating: i at 2.3 against iBackup Kit's 1.3. i also leads on monetization model (free vs paid) and ratings volume (789 vs 9). iBackup Kit's advantage is review sentiment (34% vs 15%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

i holds the better App Store score, 2.3 against 1.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: i has 789 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of i's written reviews are positive against 34% of iBackup Kit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

i ships an update every 3 months, iBackup Kit every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
