# i vs iD Disk

The clearest difference is rating: i at 2.3 against iD Disk's 1.0. i also leads on ratings volume (789 vs 1). iD Disk's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 15%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

i holds the better App Store score, 2.3 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: i has 789 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of i's written reviews are positive against 50% of iD Disk's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

i ships an update every 3 months, iD Disk every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 8, 2026.
