# i vs I

The clearest difference is rating: I at 5.0 against i's 2.3. I also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 15%) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 months). i's advantage is ratings volume (789 vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

I holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: i has 789 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 15% of i's written reviews are positive against 50% of I's.

i ships an update every 3 months, I every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and September 17, 2026 respectively.
