# MindfulSleep vs Dr. Steve Hypnosis

The clearest difference is update cadence: Dr. Steve Hypnosis at every 2 months against MindfulSleep's every 45 months. Dr. Steve Hypnosis also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). MindfulSleep's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (71 vs 10). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MindfulSleep sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Dr. Steve Hypnosis sells 41 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MindfulSleep holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MindfulSleep has 71 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

MindfulSleep ships an update every 45 months, Dr. Steve Hypnosis every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
