# Timecard Buddy vs SoundSheet

The clearest difference is rating: SoundSheet at 5.0 against Timecard Buddy's 4.2. SoundSheet also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). Timecard Buddy's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (33 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timecard Buddy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per year and SoundSheet sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SoundSheet holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timecard Buddy has 33 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Timecard Buddy ships an update every 3 weeks, SoundSheet every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
