# SWPPD vs CPPD

The clearest difference is update cadence: CPPD at every 8 months against SWPPD's every 20 months. SWPPD's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SWPPD ships an update every 20 months, CPPD every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on September 19, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
