# Flapper vs Black Jet

The clearest difference is rating: Black Jet at 5.0 against Flapper's 4.7. Flapper's advantage is ratings volume (145 vs 5) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Black Jet holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flapper has 145 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Flapper ships an update fortnightly, Black Jet every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
