# Guarding Vision vs HYU

The clearest difference is update cadence: Guarding Vision at monthly against HYU's every 11 months. Guarding Vision also leads on ratings volume (22K vs 80). HYU's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.7). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HYU holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Guarding Vision has 22K ratings behind it against 80, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of Guarding Vision's written reviews are positive against 29% of HYU's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Guarding Vision ships an update monthly, HYU every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
