# Guarding Vision vs Lorex Cirrus

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Lorex Cirrus at 66% against Guarding Vision's 31%. Lorex Cirrus also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). Guarding Vision's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 5 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Guarding Vision holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Guarding Vision has 22K ratings behind it against 3.6K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of Guarding Vision's written reviews are positive against 66% of Lorex Cirrus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Guarding Vision ships an update monthly, Lorex Cirrus every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
