# LevelMatePRO vs ALPHA OBD2

The clearest difference is update cadence: ALPHA OBD2 at every 2 days against LevelMatePRO's every 3 weeks. LevelMatePRO's advantage is review sentiment (30% vs 0%) and monetization model (free vs freemium). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LevelMatePRO sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ALPHA OBD2 sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.0 for LevelMatePRO against 2.9 for ALPHA OBD2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LevelMatePRO has 143 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 30% of LevelMatePRO's written reviews are positive against 0% of ALPHA OBD2's.

LevelMatePRO ships an update every 3 weeks, ALPHA OBD2 every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
